LOW mount alt.

Finally found a NOS CJ (low mount) alt. bracket, I've always wanted to mount the alt. low for appearance. I will mill off unnecessary bolt holes and part of the bracket to clean it up and was wondering if anyone has done this?, are there any clearance problems?.

Perry,

On my car there is no way I could locate an alternator any lower than it already is without hitting something. Obviously most of these cars are different so it doesn't mean much. Let us know how it goes!

Hey Perry,

I have my alt mounted low. The car is a Lone Star and the alt sits even with the frame rails. I have 1-2 inches of room for adjustment.
