What is the best valve cover gasket
FE speaking.... what have you found that works the best.

No hesitation here, the rubber gaskets by FelPro. Victor makes them too, but they dont fit as well as the FelPro. I have a solid lifter engine and they still seal good after 3 removals and installs. Just clean all the surfaces good and don't use anything on them, if they leak it's the valve covers and not the gaskets. I have Pentroof Steel Covers. 1/4 drive is plenty to snug up the nuts, I use ARP studs.

the best gaskets for your FE are from Flat Out Race Gaskets, especially the exhaust gaskets

Amen to Mr. Bagleys reply.Fel pro's neoprene work well. Steel Pentroofs are a B **** to seal. Cast alloys work better.
#565; Can you provide a link or info re. " Flat Out Race Gaskets"? Sad to admit I never heard of them...
