A question about stock damper.....

Ok, I'm a dork and misplaced the little key thing to line up the spacer and damper on the crank snout...Damn it! :)

Where can I get one of those keys (is that what you call it?) from?

Brent,

You should be able to get a "woodruff key" at any NAPA store.

Don't lose it!

Most hardware stores have them as "bar stock" real cheap. Just make sure it's the correct size, you have the proper slot lined up on the spacer & have the inside of the spacer clean. Clean the crank end of rust, paint, ect. I split, my first spacer becaues of not doing all of this first. It should tap on pretty easy. Also, don't tighten the timming cover bolts up until you have the spacer set into the oil seal. You can miss the alignment or cut the seal.
See ya bud.

I believe the woodruff key for the engine is hardend. I think you can still get them at Ford.
