428 cj blower motor
 
ok so i started off just wanting to make a wild street motor i have since decided to go off the deep end and go with a blower i have a 428 cj block 4 bolt mains , h beam rods, 428 cj heads fully ported and polished stainless valves triple springs, roller rockers, hardened shafts with supports, je pistons 7:1 compression, a 428 crank, now what im wounderings is i have to still buy the blower should i go with 6-71 or 8-71 i have 825 demon carb brand new will this work for what i got going and right now i have a new crane cam with .595 lift at .050 will this cam work? i plan on driving this on the street but also at the track

I think as far as the camshaft is concerned, you should just contact a cam manufacturer and have them custom grind you a cam for your application. I don't know a whole lot about blown motors, but I'm pretty sure cam grind is very important. Once you have decided which size blower you're going to use, you should contact Holley, Edelbrock, Jet Performance or some other expert in the induction field and ask what they recommed using for a carb (or carbs).

Get the 8-71. You'll also need two 825s to feed it. In my experience, your cam choice will likely work. Blowers tend to make cam choice less critical. If you want optimum, then get a custom blower grind.
