Source for FE's and Exotic Parts

RK Machine, Inc. in Ripley, Oklahoma (located about 8 miles south of Stillwater, Oklahoma (60 miles east of Tulsa)) 918-372-4537.

This place is unbelievable and VERY unassuming. No less than 50 427 sideoiler and topoiler blocks, similar amounts of cranks, manifolds etc. Some of these parts are still new in the box. No less than six 427 SOHC engines complete, either carburated as well as blown and injected ($20,000.00 and $30,000.00 respectively). Boss 429's and 460's. To many parts and excessories to mention.

The bottom line is: If you need anything for an FE or muscle Ford including 1000 hp C6 and Top Loaders give Rick a call. He has it, guaranteed!

If nothing else call him and schedule a tour of his museum, you will be amazed.

My wife made me leave the check book at home yesterday! Probably was a good idea.

This guy has done R&D for both GM and Ford and still handles the critical tolerance machining for some of Fords race engines. He made some of the parts on the new Ford GT. He has a signed Corvette racing engine (signed on one side by the GM engineers in the US and the Lola engineers from Great Britian.

He even was showing us some of the components he does for NASA. Very modest operation from outside.

His prefrence is all Ford.

Dean Lampe came down from Illinois and went with me Tuesday. I think he is going to buy a set of the new Blue Thunder Alum Heads from Rick to use on his 427 S.O.. These heads are beautiful and will probably produce 30 or 40 hp over the Edelbrocks but they are a lot more expensive too. Took my camera for the second time and forgot to recharge the batteries.

Would this be Rick Kirk? If so, I envy you, his place is a virtual candyland for Ford nuts. I have an old issue of Super Ford from like 10-15 years ago spotlighting his place. As a matter of fact, the article was called "Candyland" :D

As a matter of fact it is Rick Kirk. He has some connection with Ford. I intend to go back to his shop next Thursday (12/23) and if I can remember to charge my batteries in any of my camera's I will take some pictures.

I saw this guy on an episode of Rides or something. Christopher Titus ran the Hot Rod power tour and made a pit stop there. It is like a one horse town with 10,000 horsepower. He has an amazing car collection too.

If I ever find myself in BFE I will make a point to stop there.

Clois Harlan 12-27-2004 05:59 AM

BFE is correct! But , Stillwater (O.S.U.) is just 8 miles north.

His shop is on Ripley Rd. and I don't know which was first the road or the town. I suspect the road was because his shop is on South Ripley Rd and the shop is actually 2 miles North of Town (one stop sign).
