427 Question
Did they ever use a cast crank or connecting rods other than the Le Mans rods in the 427 S.O. I am talking about automotive motors, not Industrial or marine.

Yes the 68 sideoilers went back to a cast iron crank and used C7-B rods in production car engines. G.

Forgot to mention these engines came in the Cougar GTE's. g.

That was also the only factory 427 with hydraulic lifters.

I think remember there being a T-Bird with a 427 w/ hydraulics.

I don't believe that the T Bird was ever equipped with any version of the 427.

yes. yes. But... Real side oilers have steel cranks and Le Mans rods. The rest are merely replicas.**)
