Engine Identification
I Have a 66 7 Litre Galaxie and have noticed some irregularities in some parts. the tranny tag fits description for a Merc 410, I checked my block and found the following #s
Passenger Bank: C6ME- Driver Bank: 19 DIF V Front of Block 352 40 Oil Filter Housing section of block 5M14 Heads C6AE-R Engine is in car Would appreciate any help that's available chris |
Unfortunately, you will most likely have to pull the heads/oil pan for a positive I.D. of what you have. That casting # (block) was used on the 360,390,410 and 428, not to mention some truck blocks.

Date code for the block is Dec 14,1965 and would be correct for an early 66.
