Need some opinions & experience

So, I bought a 427FE a few years ago that had been rebuilt, but never had a chance to do anything with it.

As it sits now (same as when purchased)
.030 over 427 industrial block, KB-199 pistons, E9630 cam, the crank is stock, connecting rods stock, HP oil pump, new stock water pump, Weiand single plane intake, balanced & blueprinted, heads machined.

The block is stamped 66-427, looks like a sideoiler, but was drilled as a center oiler, has '12 DIF' above oil filter and 'E1' under the oil filter, and heads are stamped 'C7JE 8090A or 6090A'.

Enough background, I am on limited funds (of course) and am looking at what to do with it that will give me the most bang for my buck. Of course I will swap the HP to a HV oil pump, perform some massaging to the oil passages, windage tray, large oil pan, and slap a 750 holley mechanical double pumper on her.

So... what should I do? Are the heads even worth keeping on it? What is that cam? Is it a hydaulic, solid? Is it fairly stock? Should I leave it? Should I replace the intake with a Performer or is the Weiand ok? What distributor should I go with, Mallory or MSD, unilite, dualpoint? What is a solid fuel pump for the system?

My plan is to build a completely streetable cobra with my toploader 4-spd tranny. I am not looking for hp monster or a high revver, just something that will be reliable, give a great rumble, and give you that acceleration that feels like your stuck to your seat. Of course I want it to drive like a race car, but this thing will only see street use and my occassional tearing it up.

Thanks for your time,
Jason
