OT – Chassis Dynamometer in Atlanta Area
OT – Chassis Dynamometer in Atlanta Area
Does anyone know of a good Chassis Dyno in Atlanta with some experience tuning Holley carburetors? I would like to optimize fuel and timing curves and get some horsepower pulls. Anyone dealt with Balanced Performance? |
This would be a good question to post in the Atlanta forum. Tony Radford has found someone who does carb tuning on a chassis dyno. Balanced Performance probably isn't the best choice if you want to dial a carb in, they do have a box of jets lying around though. They're a bit pricey.

I've got a box of jets :) |
Robert, I needed the same thing after my new Demon was drowning my motor. I ended up going down to All Speed in Peachtree City. They did a great job (many pulls) and got me an additional 35 HP in the process. They've got a very nice, modern shop with a Dyno 2000. They were much more "reasonable" than some of the other shops I called. I've heard Balanced Performance does a good job as well, but I was having a hard time scheduling a Saturday procedure (and I was a bit impatient).

Thanks Tony, PTC is less than 10 miles from me.
Who makes a Dyno 2000? (All google turns up is the program) |
Here is All Speeds Website.
http://www.allspeedimports.com/ Seems they have a DynoJet Model 248 (HS) The HS is no longer on DynoJets website, but nomethe less, it is a DynoJet. Had a minor Rocker arm issue, waiting on parts so I can continue Break in. Once it is broken in, I'll get over to PTC and talk with them / set an appointment. |
