FE block and head casing ##??

I have a 390 block C8ME-A and heads with C8AE-H.

I know C8 is 68 and AE is Ford but what is the "ME-A"? And what cc are the "H" heads?

Thanks Dwight

From this web site:
http://www.fowlerautomotive.com/for_sale_page.html

1 pr. Ford C8AE-H Heads. (390 cid style; 3 bolt exhaust flange) 69 cc chambers. New hard seats and false iron guides. New valve springs set @ 80 lb. on seat. Mixed new / used valves. Surfaced and ready for unleaded or dry fuel. $400.00 exchange w/ non cracked cores.

I wonder what "False Iron Guides" are?

And check out this recent Club HOT ROD thread, (brought to you by the one and only Brent Mills). LOTS of numbers here!

The ME is a Mercury code as I understand. C8-H heads are 68.1-71.1 cc's. Pretty much the same as the later D2TE and D3TE heads only without hardened seats for unleaded.
