Anyone have an Edelbrock 390 Performer for sale?
I am looking for a Performer 390. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know.

I have a Performer RPM Part no. 7105. It was bolted on and run on a dyno only, then taken off.
They are $299.00 at Summit Racing. $200.00 plus shipping and it's yours. Brian |
I have a used Performer 390 (predates the Performer) and either a new 600 cfm polished Holley 1850 for $300 or the manifold and a rebuilt Holley 750 cfm vacuum secondary for $225. If you prefer a Carter carb. I have a like new performance series 600 with the intake for $275.
If you just want the intake you can have it for $185. |

390 Performer intake
SCOBRAC,
What is the principle difference between your early Performer and the ones they are selling now called RPM Performer? Is yours "better" than a 428 PI Alum. manifold? That's what I have now but I haven't run the engine yet so don't know how it's going to work. Engine is a mildly built 390, carb is a 700cfm Holley. Would prefer your 600 Holley as I'm at 7000ft here and less cfm seems to work better for most folks. Is your manifold polished, clean, painted, powder-coated? Have pics? Thanks, Paul |
While I certainly wouldn't attempt to speak for SCOBRAC, the aluminum PI intake is better than either of the Performer series manifolds, which absolutely die at 5500 rpm, but provide excellent torque. The Performer RPM is good in excess of 6000 rpm. Depending on your cam, the PI intake may be the best for your application; it's a good manifold. What is your hp peak (rpm) going to be?

I'm hoping for about 425 - 450hp by the time I add Edelbrock heads and more cam. I want the torque not the high winding rpm so planning not to exceed 6k.
The motor I have was built for another Cobra and had a Offy 360 single/dual manifold (looks like a single plane but has a divider.....strange). It was running very rich and ran out of gas at 5500. I live at 7000ft so that's probably most of it as well as poor carb jetting. The PI manifold should improve things as well as the Edelbrock heads. I'm probably going to have to go with a 600cfm carb but we'll see. The other car this motor came out of also had a 3.07 rear end and that was the major problem. My 3.54 should help that too.
