expansion tank question
I have been watching E-bay for a reasonable priced expansion tank. The only ones I have seem have the big outlet coming off on the passenger side. Do they all come this way and need to be reveresed or do some models come off the drivers side. Thanks

Check out "Gessford Machine" advertised here. George can make the outlet on either side or if you buy one elsewhere, take it to a radiator shop & have them change it for you. Make sure it's solid, vibrations can crack the welds !

Another source you can check out is Finish Line Inc..

They offer a 427 tank kit for $350.00. You must soldier the pieces to the tank, but it can be set up as either left or right hand.

Just keep in mind the thermostat size of the tank vs your intake. Most of the tanks use the larger size. Gessford can put a smaller flange on one and I think they shorten the neck for hood clearance if needed. That said i picked up and adapter to use big thermostat tank on a small thermostat intake. It's just a steel spacer plate with a smaller hole basicly. These were a small batch someone on the net54 forum had made. Just something to keep in mind. G.
