FE Intake Splash Sheild Removal
Does anyone know how to remove the rivets on the splash sheild? I remmeber reading about it and I forgot how to remove them.

Splash shield? I'm not sure what that is. Do you mean the valley pan? The valley pan just clips under some tabs on the head gaskets. If no one here can help you, you might try posting your question at www.fordfe.com

The rivets have a spiral (much like gun rifleing). Put a little liquid wrench around the head and then heat the aluminum that it goes into with a propane torch (use discression) and then grab the head with some vise grips and "Unscrew it"
