Timing question fe390?

What would be the correct setting for my timing with the car idling and my vacuum pluged. I have a fe390 with cam set for 230 intake and exhaust at .050 duration, .3063 lift and 110 seperation. Edelbrock 390 performer manifold and Holley 750 cfm double pumper. Engine is bored over to a 410 ci. Vacuum advance on the distributer. Any (intelegent) help would be great. Thanks

I'm going to throw one in here.
At idle....10-12 degrees @ 800rpm's
Total timing.......34-36 degrees @ 3,000 rpm's

The problem with your question is you haven't given enough information. What distributor are you using? Is the distributor set up to have all it's mechanical advance in before 3,000 RPM?

Unfortunatly MaSnaka posted the same question in TWO separate threads. Cross referenced here for OTHER replys: He currently has an MSD distributor.

Elgecko's numbers look good. Possibly a little more 'base' timing depending on cam profile.

Might be helpful if Computerworks could consolidate the two...
