Reusing Valve Seals

Guys, I purchased a set of Stage 1 heads from Keith Craft...that were custom assembled at his shop. They came with a set of Viton valve seals. They're pretty pliable and have the little metal coil springs around the tops of them.

I changed cams before I started my build, so I had to upgrade the springs, cups, and retainers as well.

These heads have never been on an engine.

Would it be ok to reuse the valve seals when I change the spring cups? I have already removed them and was extremely careful when sliding them up the valve stem. I inspected them all and the sealing surfaces look brand new.

Am I safe....or should I order a new set of seals?

I'll be waiting on some responses. I'm ready to put these heads back together this evening.

I think you'd be ok to reuse them in your situation. I would just make sure you put some grease or other good lube on the tips to make sure they don't damage the seal on installation.
