FE Waterpump Gasket Sizes?
I went to change out the gasket on the back of the water pump - the one that has 6 bolts - the plate holes are 5.25" center to center across, my gasket is a perfect 9/10 scale - 4.75".:CRY:
Plus, my gasket seems quite a bit thinner..:confused: Is there more than 1 size? How do you specify (large/small?). Or, did I somehow get a gasket for something else?? Where is the best place to buy this? Thanks, |
Oh, the work I go through for people on this forum...I've got 5 of the 5 1/4" gaskets (never install them). I emailed you one...let me know if you get it. :LOL: I checked the listings, and the same gasket fits all years. I even checked one against my '68 casting (larger internal bearing starting in ''68), and it matches. I don't know where you got the oddball nor what it fits. If you've got gasket paper, go to work, as thickness won't matter on this, unless it's really thick.

Ummmm....appologies from my parts department guy...I'm now told he gave me a Buick 3.8 waterpump gasket.:rolleyes:
