427 casting #'s THEY CORRECT?
 
hey guys, i am considering buying a 427 and i want to know iif these #'s are correct. i have looked in a couple of books and i don't see this one. the engine is supposed to be a 63, and from a fairlane or galaxy. the maifold #'s check out, but i can't find C3AE-J-6090-J. any comments?:confused:

It should have cross bolts, if it does, then its most likely a 427 unless somebody modified a different block.

bolts that go through the side of the block, near the bottom of the block above the oil pan that go into the side of the middle three main bearing caps. There has to be a picture of one here somewhere. All 427's came with them, and some very rare 406's.

See the 3 bolt heads near the oil pan, below the freeze plugs.
