Another Victor manifold question
 
I have a Victor (not Victor Jr.) and Dominator 750 on a bored/stroked FE. When I stop, the car idles at about 1,100 RPM for a good 20 seconds, then slowy settles in at 850 RPM and stays there. Is this a characteristic of the manifold or the carburetor, or is something wrong?

I would be inclined to look at the internal linkage (if so equipped) on the carb. Sounds like the the throttle plates are sticking and closing a minor amount after engine idles for a few seconds. It could also be related to the centrifical advance mechanism in the distributor not returning to the base setting.

Two good ideas Rick. However, the symptoms did not appear when I used the Performer manifold with the same carb and distributor. Any ideas on manifold puddling or something else unique to the Victor?

Check you power valve and see if the vac has changed.
