Colors?
In the original 427 SO, were the aluminum heads painted the same color as the block, or were they left unpainted? Same question for the coolant overflow tank. Was it left unpainted or was it painted black, as I have seen so many done?:confused:

I don't beleive the ORIGINAL 427 side oilers, back in the 60's had aluminum heads. They were all iron heads at that time, correct??

Early pictures of the Comp 427 engine show the heads unpainted.
