I call it the clutch activation rod. I made four for my car as I changed other things.
Just my $0.02

I know it's got a name; and I know I've heard it before, I just can't remember it. At this point I'll even settle for a link to an item on a manufacturer's site that even looks close to it.

I call it a clutch slave cylinder pushrod.
It looks like it's too tight on the fork so it might be a good idea to space the slave cylinder bracket forward on the block rather than changing the pushrod.

That's ok, it's not mine -- I ripped that photo from page 35 of the ERA manual.

I think it is like the little plastic things on the end of shoe laces, it does not have a name.
Or does someone know what those little plastic things are called? :)

Hmm, maybe it's called a "clutch slave aglet." ;)

I think you are referring to the collar that goes over the "slave cylinder rod." It looks like it can be screwed in or out to adjust the distance between the slave cylinder and the fork. According to this web site, it's called the "adjuster." See the blow up drawing about a third of the way down the page.

"Collar" is better than "aglet," which is better than "adjuster." Niblet is the worst of all....

My wife calls it a thingy and I call it a pushrod. There's a logical reason to use this term . . . it's a rod that's pushed on, adjustable or not.

Don't worry 'bout it.
It is a clutch pushrod adjustment collar.
Why do you need to know?

My reading of the description of the "pushrod impact isolator" in your link is that it is not the part noted in your initial picture. But, if it doesn't matter to you, it doesn't matter to me either.

This is a replacement of a slave linkage on a non-Cobra. The slave did not have a pushrod and the pushrod did not have an end. The best picture I could find was from my ERA manual. What I think will work is an acorn nut threaded through with a lock nut before it. You would be surprised at all the emails I got with authoritative names for that end piece. Now I'm back to thinking "niblet" was the best.
