Send your phone number to wzzard@alltel.net. I'll try and explain the basics. It's a little more complicated than trying to establish a standard setup. I'm around all day.

PS 2 blue springs and black stop cam sound like a good starting point.

For other watching, the black cam will give 18 deg total advance. The blue springs will bring that in around 2600 rpm. If intitial timing is 18 deg, this means that 36 deg will occur at about 2600 rpm. I think this is a good starting point to the safe side. I've heard 38 deg at 2400 rpm for a lot of engines is about the limit. You have to be careful with detonation which can really ruin your day.
Of course factors such as cam profile, octane rating etc will all have an effect on where these setting should be and it will take some experimentation or even better if you can get engine dyno tuned.

Good talkin' to you Priobe.
