edelbrock fe cyl head thread size?
does any one know the depth and thread size of the valve cover bolt hole on a edelbrock aluminum fe cyl head?. i want to use stainless steel studs but i dont have my heads yet.

Stud Size
The FE is probably the only engine in the world that doesn't use 1/4" screws.
The threads are 5/16-18. Depth varies but typically is 3/4" The bosses on your valve covers will determine what length is needed. I ended up buying Stainless Steel set screws from McMaster Carr to make mine Paul |
paul i am running the ford motorsport aluminum cobra lemans valve covers i forgot about the gasket also i am thinking i need 1 1/2 inches what length did you use for you valve covers?

Stud size
I used the Ford Motorsports cast covers also, with cork cover gaskets. I also included an "AN" cadmium plated washer and a flanged nut.
I used 5/16-18 x 1 3/4" stainless steel set screw. All the materials came from McMaster-Carr Paul |
