Supercharger mounts?

Does anyone make a paxton novi 2000 mount and drive for a FE. Left side w/ac or right side. I've seen them are they custom?

Shelby has them for the supercharged cobra FE motors.

Gessford machine

Jimmymac Look on Gessford machine site. I think he sells a whole kit for FE motor. You better check for hood clearance and room to fit it. You may need a twin paxton hood to clear the blower. It will not fit under the stock hood of an ERA without the scoop. You will need oil pressure and return lines for the blower. You can tee into the sendor or line for the pressure gauge. The return went into the timing cover. Used #8 return line. #4 perssure line. There is an oriface to control the oil spraying into the case. You need to think about an intercooler or water injection kit. Water is easier with the mister systems. Go with Vee belt and not clogs. Vee belt gives and slips, clogs don't. I stripped 2 belts and gave up. I will try again at a later time now that I have a paxton hood for my car. If you want to talk about this, call me Jimmy in the evening est time after 8:00pm 732-254-3536 Rick L.

I think that Gessford's set up is for a Mustang installation. The Shelby bracketry was developed for the Mustangs and the Cobras. I don't know about the ERA cars but there are not hood clearance problems on the CSX cars. As well, I agree with the belt suggestions and the oil line plumbing but I am not convinced that an intercooler or water injection is needed.

Intercooling of some kind

mhacars If you are running 6 psi of boost, run super gas and retard the timing 2 degrees for every pound of boost, I would say you are OK. E-85 gas you might get away with. If you put 10-15 grand in a blower motor, even with the best parts, what another $400.00 for the waterinjection. You can hook a boost switch up to turn the system on and off with boost only. Sorry I have seen to many motors blowup from detention. I custom modifiled a Vortech intercooler for my car and changed both inlet and outlet openings to fit in my car. The weight was 20 lbs more than if I went with water injection. The only thing is to refill the tank. You check the oil for the motor and check the tank. 2 minute job. Gessford brakets are built for FE motors. You might have to custom the other brackets for P/S and A/C, The setup I saw works with Alt,water pump, and crank. With the box setup for a single carb, it might fit under hook. The side by side with 2 paxtons will not. The other problem is room for an airfilter. Rick Lake Ps I used screen on my setup no room for filter. The other thing was hot air from the motor. I used foot box hose from r/s to go to blower. Blowers get heat soaked and make enough hot air.
