desktop dyno 2000
Is this program or the one from comp cams accurate? I ran both programs with the flow numbers from my heads and they were within 3hp of each other...??

I use DD2k and Engine Analyzer Pro. They're usually within a few horsepower of each other, but they're both usually 5% high compared to a real dyno.

I have both also
saltshaker Jon I have both 2. When you put ALL the correct numbers in you are within 2% of the motor. I was off on the old 452 motor by 5HP and 8ft of torque. The yesterday I dynoed the car it was 95f and the humitity was 90%. There software is setup for perfect air, baro, humitity and at sea level.%/ My 482 motor was on the dyno yesterday and was 8hp and 12ft more than the Dyno 2000 sheets. Street pipes and no race fuel, GO figure.**):D Rick L.

I had an older version of Desktop Dyno than the two above and when I got the figures input correctly even it was pretty good. On my 418 stroker it was off by 4 horse power and I think about 5 pounds of torque. For the 69 428 SCJ bored .065 to 440 C.I. it was off by 3 horsepower and 4 pounds of torque. So I felt it was a good program for getting you into the ballpark range of what your engine is. But what you input is important as just one thing off by a little can make quite a difference.
