Looking for ARP # for Thrust Plate

Hello All,

I am looking for the bolt for the thrust plate on a 390 - 427 FE.

I tried calling ARP for the bolt but they do not have one for that size.

What have you guys been using?

Call one of the engine builders, KC, Doug Garifo, Barry R. They have them. I bought mine from KC. They have the heads milled down.

Actually a normal 7/16 bolt will clear many common timing sprockets without trimming. Alternately some of the motorcycle supply guys have 7/16 button head allen screw that work quite well - some are a touch long but are easily cut to length.

ARP's out of stock http://headbolts.com/fordfe.html?gcl...FQSPFQod5Wa0Ew
But they do show the "Kit" being availible in ARP

They also have them in a DuraBond kit http://headbolts.com/durabond-finishing-kits.html

DSC list the ARP's http://www.dscmotorsport.com/Engine/index.htm

The Durabond kit is junk. They come with normal hex head bolts, and the 2 piece fuel pump eccentric they provide is so loose you'de be scared to put it in a lawn mower.
