As promised, our 360 FE was delivered today. I used the bolts I bought with all your advice and got it on my engine stand. Here's a picture of Tristan and Jordan with it. I don't think this engine has been apart. It still has the info tag under the coil and everything looks pretty original, but we shall see.
The boys didn't start on it though. Our projection TV blew up a few days ago and they wanted to tear that apart first...lol. Oh to be a kid again! |

We are making some good progress tearing the engine down. Below are some pictures of Jordan and Tristan removing the fan and water pump.
I'm a little worried about the exhaust manifold bolts. They seem to be seized up pretty badly. I might have to try to heat them up a bit before I try to remove them. |
Looks like fun. Oh, to be a kid again. I do have one question, however. Where do you keep all the stuff that should be in your garage? I don't think I've ever seen a garage with that much room in it.

OMG, those kids are electric.
What did you promise them? They will get to drive the Cobra? All kidding aside, looks like a lot of fun. They will learn more from this than they will reading about it. Have you decided on a plan? :D |
Couldn't help but notice your son's hands and ratchet are a blur. He must be really working that ratchet! He'll have that motor torn down in no time!
