ATI dampners

Over the past several years I have used numberous ATI crank dampners since they started making them----over the past few years we have used several on Ford engines, however THEY make the 3 bolt dampner for a BIG BLOCK CHEVY bolt pattern and not the FORD pattern---I'm getting tired of the dilly-dallying to put these dampners on that don't fit the acessories that the application has---
I have spent hours on the phone with ATI trying to get them to make the bolt circle for the FORD pattern, but they offer to make a custom pattern but don't want to change the dampner to the FORD specs---

I would like to ask EVERYONE to contact ATI and engage them in a VERY LONG conversation about why they should build their dampners for FORDS and Ford pulleies and not CHEVY pulleys!!!!!!!

Please come back on here and post the results of your conversations----

Jerry,

If you'd consider a possible alternative, it may be easier than trying to marshal the FE guys to make phone calls.

Art at Innovators West makes an all aluminum, fluid filled, fully degreed damper. It's the FE bolt pattern and is a beautiful piece plus it's rebuildable. It's also SFI approved. Accepts March pulleys or anything else you want to fit. I've had mine 7 trouble free years on a 7000 RPM motor.

Got a couple of ATI dampers on FE's. The pulley bolt problem was an easy couple minute fix with a file to slightly elongate the bolt holes.
The bigger problem with these dampers is the TDC mark is off several degrees. Had to modify the timing pointers on both motors with these dampers.
