460/535 crate motor + Nitrous????

I'm planning on bolting on a Fogger system in my SPF, 460/535hp.
Anyone have experience? Suggestions?

I'm thinking about the big NOS Pro system (150 - 500hp) just because the components are the best and you can jet the HP some many different ways....I wouldn't use more than 250hp jetting...which would put me right at 800hp....

Which gear were you planning on hititng the button in? Them BB SPF's are allready traction limited in the first three forward gears.

Spoony 10-16-2003 01:54 PM

3rd gear is where I'd hit it in my last cobra...

Spoony 10-16-2003 01:55 PM

I've also put on 17's....315 rear tires

Mr.Fixit 10-16-2003 02:19 PM

Yeah, those tires stick a WHOLE LOT MORE than the 60 series tires on 15's, but still. Maybe you ought to get a progressive NOS setup, so you don't overwhelm the tires, I have almost spun out a BB SPF in fourth gear when traction immediately disappeared, that was a pucker moment I tell you. Don't start a big burnout at 90 miles an hour.

Why?

Spoony 10-17-2003 06:53 AM

If you have to ask why.............

Actually, with my..

Strange Engineering posi rear, and foot wide Pirelli P-Zeros, I have excellent traction.. in fact this led to my clutch system being the weak link. Of course my car is heavier than an SPF by a bit also. I could probably use another 100 hp if the new McCleod clutch and monster pressure plate can handle it
