Question about cam sync
First I have a 460 with a danny bee belt drive , elec. water pump. I need to install a cam sync for the efi. I was think about Drilling the front washer on the belt drive and installing the Mag from the MSD2346 unv. sync kit. The question is do I need to index the magnet to any place. I know I need to make a bracket for the pickup but difficult to make it very adjustable.

yes you do
ebustin You need to find TDC on the compression stroke of the motor. Depending on the rest of the system you could just use the distributor signal for the same signal to the ECU. Your crank signal is about 50 degrees before TDC?? Time the distributor to 10 degrees before TDC and you should be OK. The rest of the timing will be done in the mappings in the ECU. I have an MSD and FAST system. This is how mine works. I am running MSD distributor, coil, and wires. Cut a hole in an old cap for getting the Syncro setup perfect on #1 cylinder. No guess work. Ed,
Its probably alot easier to get a CAM sync signal if you can find a dual-sync distributor. Suggest that you check out FAST and MSD for one. Mallory also.
