FRONT OF CAM- mechanical injection fuel pumps ?

I have a sbc fast burn 383 stroker engine and a Engler mechanical fuel injection system. This is going in our street legal winged sprint car to campaign our charity.

Race sprints have the fuel pump on the back of the cam and since we'll have a transmission, we need a fuel pump to mount on the front of the cam. Here's the question. Are there any pumps that run the opposite rotation, will run either rotation or can be simply modified ?

As a note, we'll actually run the water pump, fuel pump and power steering off the front of the engine just like the racing sprint, except for the fuel pump.

Why not run a P/S fuel pump as one?

Funfer2 Why not run a clog belt setup with the fuel pump hooked to the back of the P/S pump?? Not sure of what pressure you are looking for but see no problem with this setup. I surp belt would be a better setup than a clog for you need a little slipage to prevent belts popping off or ripping the teeth out of the clogs. I know where to get special pulleys if needed. Hey Rick,
the newer Waterman combo f/p set up is great but, expensive. They have two styles, direct drive and belt driven but, not sure on the rotation ? Who's & what set up are you talking about ? Have any pics & info ?

We're looking for a sponsor or good used as we don't have much in funds. We have most of the sponsored parts to build the car now so, we feel blessed. ;)

You could probably save a lot of money and time by using an electric pump.
