Idle Air Control Location
Where do you locate the idle air control air source on a stack injection intake manifold? Is one source adequate, or do you have to source all eight runner tubes?

Here's where we mount our IAC, the source is the plenum.

What is typically done is to install plumbing under the intake. In this setup, a hardline is run from each point to a common reservoir under where the breather would go at the back of the intake. The IAC motor then attacheds to the common reservoir via the breather hole. Here's a picture of how this looks on my TWM intake. Here's a picture of the hardline connections in the ports: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...s_to_Ports.JPG Here's a picture of the common reservoir at the back of the intake: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...dium/IAC_2.JPG And here's a picture of the IAC motor mounted on top of the intake: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...C_Detail_1.JPG Hope that this helps. |
