Fuel injector installation problem
Has anyone out there had a problem getting fuel injectors into the bosses on Edelbrock FE fuel injection manifold for the FE engine? I've done a lot of injector installations and never had a problem. The fuel rail side fit and installation was easy but no matter what force I use to get bottoms into the manifold, no go. I'm using the mass-flo efi system with the black injectors. Although there is a chamfer on the manifold, it seems like the actual bore where the O'rings go in is very sharp.

Did you try some vaseline, this usually helps me out on tough ones.

I used motor oil and then silicone spray. I'll give vasoline a try.

Thanks for the help Blittleton. It was still a struggle, but the Vaseline did work.
I measured the manifold bores and the passenger side bores were .0035 smaller than passenger side which might have made it harder too.

I use Dextron ATF to lube injector seals prior to insertion. (same idea)
