Snake Pit? Birmingham?

Where is this snake pit? Is it limited to GLCC members?
My family and I will be staying in Birmingham on Woodward ave.
Thursday thru Sunday. This will be our first Woodward cruise and
I am unfamiliar with the area. I would love to see your Cobras,
I have only seen two others besides my own.
My car is quite respectable with Trigos, 460, toploader, 9" and very nice Ford blue and white paint.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

dan , the snake pit in birmingham is for GLCC members only who paid for a spot to park on saturday only. based on prior years there will be 60-70 spots ( not sure exact count) of all brands of snakes. cars will be parked between woodward ave (the 8 lane) and old woodward (hunter) on hazel street, on west side of woodward and a couple of blocks south of maple (15 mi rd). i understand that some this yr also will have spots on woodward itself just south of hazel street in the shadows of the '555' building. check this website for info and contacts as maybe there is space available (not sure) , if so , join the club and pay your fee :

otherwise just find a free parking space along 16 miles of 8 lane highway with the other 30,000 plus cars and 1.5 million people !!

for complete event listing, see :

will see ya there maybe : bill.

Dan:

Just to reinforce what Bill has told you, the GREAT LAKES COBRA CLUB will indeed be on Hazel Street in Birmingham for the WDC. We start arriving at about 6:00 AM and will be there until at least 9:30 PM. By 9:00 AM, there will be approximately 75 to 80 Cobras in place. Please stop by the "Snake Pit" and introduce yourself. We are always glad to have the opportunity to "kick tires" with another Cobra owner and enthusiast. Ask anyone in the area to point me out, I would like to meet you. It turns out that I have relatives in your town and manage several trips a year over there. See you at the Cruise!

Dynamic Motorsports of Ross, OH will have an SPF display diagonal, within sight of the Snake Pit across Woodward Avenue. They will have an SPF rolling body on a lift so that people can see the underside of these cars. The Snake Pit is the place to be for Cobra lovers.
