In 2010 I got bit by the Cobra. After much looking and I found a deal I just could not pass up. The next thing I know I am buying a cobra from a guy in Oklahoma City then driving it 500 miles to San Antonio.
It was my first ever Cobra drive I loved the attention and the car drove fantastic! Just wish the seat had more padding!!

I have had the Cobra bug since the 60's when magazines first started featuring the 427 Cobra. From then on every chance to see one up close and personal I jumped.Rode in both the small and big block powered cars, right away new I would not like the side exhaust.sold one of our Harleys in 92,then in 93 bought our kit from CMC.Took about 3 yrs to get it near 100%.After having the suspension scaled was the key to its incredible performance. Now it is all about finite tweaking.

Bought mine from the mechanic who built it. I was knew to Cobras and didn't know much about them. I do sometimes take a ribbing from others who are critical of street beasts but tune that out...no regrets and am really enjoying the car. The gallery picture of the radio antenna against Lamans Sunset color is my car.

Welcome! If you get a chance post some pics of your car into the gallery. I was at the annual Texas Club Cobra event this weekend in San Marcos and saw an awesome dark green Streetbeast owned by James Wagner. He was parked at one end away from the herd and it held its own against the nearly 40 cars I saw. His car was featured in Kit Car magazine. I must say the article does not do the car justice. Take a look.

Guys...thanks for your welcomes...much appreciated. James W's car is an eye-popper in the pictures. As for my cobra, I am pleased with the Jon Barrett hod rod engine...a 5.0 and as fast as this old man needs...and runs like a top. My trans is a Ford C6. Do any of you drive with an automatic?

All, I am currently building a street beast I bought from a guy in Plano Texas last July. I started the build in December after completing another vehicle. I am in the thick of it right now and working through the multitude of problems with the kit.
