This is a typical question that gets answered in great detail in the SAAC World Registry of Cobras and GT40s

There is a whole section on The Gulf cars, including the Mirages... their history and racing escapades.

Each car is identified by serial number and, by checking the footnotes, you can find the lifespan of the individual cars and where they are today.

I could be wrong, but I believe that Rob Walton of Walmart fame has 1075 in his collection, the winningest GT-40. It was there in 2005 or 2006 at Monterey Historic Races. As I remember, the chassis (tub) on 1075 was replaced on one of it rebuilts by JWA. It was found after hard racing that the area on the door sill tops (side gas tank holders) where compresssed under hard braking at LeMans. The sill top would ripple from the braking at the end of the long straights. What Ford found, was that under braking from 200 miles per hour, the car would shortened by 1/2 inch. That is the car while braking would messure 1/2 inch shorter than when standing still. This compression showed up at the place on the tub right behind where the front cowl piece attached to the side tanks. This was not a problem on the Mk IIA and B models after the full roll cage was put in. The roll cage pads were welded in the area where the tub flexed before, strengthing it.
