I would definitly advise going with a historic color scheme, they look fantastic and hold their value the best. GT40s in my opinion should not be painted "show car" colors, they just do not lend themselves to that. my Mk1 is guardsman blue and that colot works well on the MK1. Mk11 cars look better in different colors, but again stick to the historic schemes.

When I was considering one, I thought #101 was the look...the FAV car in the American FIA coulors of a white body and a blue (very dark) matte finished front deck and a sill stripe with " Ford " about even with the A pillar...later they added a center stripe (like #102) but I really liked the original look...but like Doc sez the " historic colors" or if in Europa, the historic coulors... gee, maybe I will do it yet...

:LOL::D Yeah, I have to agree that it does looks odd seeing a GT towing a teardrop camper.
I tell you that picture with the little boy in theAM#2 is what it's all about. He will remember that.

SwiftDB4... Your front clip is the best one of all the mark twos. I think that makes a big difference if you could see them all together with the different noses most would choose yours.

I wish I could find the web site to give you, but their is a GT40 site that has nearly every single picture of every GT 40 made. Every color combination and team you can think of. I would go the the GT 40 site and ask about it, it is out there some where and would give you some ideas as to what you like.

I have bought a GT 40 and have not seen it. Pictures only.

Gt 40

Well, the transporter dropped off my GT 40 today. Snow on the ground so I will have to wait to take it for a spin.

We are going to get more bad weather:CRY:

Maybe in a few weeks I can go for a long ride.:)

I have a few things to do first. I need to learn where everything is and what switch does what.
Allan did label everything with tape to get me started. Nice

I have a few books to read about the fuel injection system.

Heat and air, it's going to be nice.

For me, it would have to be either original Gulf colors/scheme or BRG with a yellow nose. Like Jim Click's original GT40.
