There was a problem today at www.gt40s.com

I was notified this morning by email from the www.gt40s.com site that the site was hacked. I went to the site and found a message by some guy about him being a muslim dirt bag hacker and he was doing it because he hates America. He can't even spell "Hate". Anyway, I use a direct link to a forum inside the site and the site tried to down load a virus and is set to refresh and attempt to down load more dangerous files. Be careful.

Reported earlier today...

The site is probably intact; the defacement usually just changes the entry page.

Thanks Ron. I'm glad someone is on it. Pisses me off.

That site is now repaired and back to normal.

www.gt40s.com is okay

Sorry folks, we had a hacker attacked about 2 weeks ago. It was repaired within about 12 hours, but it took some time to work out all the bugs. We switched to VB software to power the forum, the same as used here, and when we did it left a back door open that is commonly exploited for hacker attacks. The hacker changed the main page of the forum to display his message, and then used the automatic mailer feature to mail his message to all users.

At any rate, all is good and come on over to the new, modern, and more secure forum here:

Sorry for the problems.

Ron... As you see, I had posted that all was corrected.

I changed the 'wording' of this thread title just now...so it doesn't look as menacing in retrospect.

No problem, you were right on with what happened. On install a "back door" was left open and that allowed folks to jump right in!!!!!!!
