Transaxle measurements

I was wondering if any of you GT40 guys could give me an idea of how long most of the transaxles you use are. I would like to get a measurement from where it mounts to the back of the block to the center of the rearend housing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. jimig@standardtransmission.com

Thank you for the rely Hersh, is that pretty well the standard length and distance from the input shaft to the center line of the axles? jimig@standardtransmission.com

Jim,
It is, if we are talking about GT40s. It will depend on motor mount placement in conjunction with the wheel base of the car.

There's a whole section devoted to transaxles over on gt40s.com.

Jim,
Strictlypersonl is correct. There is a ton more info over there.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that myself. Another senior moment.:o

Chris,
That looks to be one great choice for the GT. Solves alot of problems for the kits that use these tranaxles. I wish yo well on this venture.

Guys,
THANK YOU ! It really makes me feel good to know there are those on the GT forum that want me back. But in all honesty I feel that if I come there then all I will accomplish is to reserect old feelings in some members and this would only upset the natural order of that forum. Believe me, I'm happy now
and I still go there and read those threads I find interesting. I am glad to provide help or information to anyone. They are welcome to email me or contact me here if there is something I can assist them with. I enjoy helping folks and will continue to do so. I learn more about these cars and make good friends while doing it. You can't ask for more than that.

Hersh:)
