Tornado GT40 announces USA distributor !
 

It seem that there will be even more choices in the GT40 replica arena.
Tornado has always been around for a long time. They tried having a USA
distributor once before about 8 yrs ago but it never took off.
From what I know the new distributor is very capable and I'm sure that Andy Sheldon would not do this a second time without the right guy.
So if you're in the market for a GT then I highly suggest you put Tornado on your list of comparables as they have a very complete kit.

I'm sure the new distributor will post here and make an official announcement soon.

My name is Scott Calabro, I am the new Tornado USA sales rep.
I must admit I really didn't know about this forum! I've heard my fellow forum members at GT40's.com speak of "another" forum. This must be the place!

The US TS40 demo car will be based in the northeast US. When it arrives from England, its build will be fully documented. As you have stated, Tornado sells a Delux Component Package, that includes EVERYTHING needed to complete the car. Less engine, brake fluid & battery, and of course body prep and paint. Andy Sheldon is also planning on offering several competitively priced packages just for the US market, to be clearly "apples to apples" if you will, with other mfg's.

Currently, the TS40 demo will be a Delux Component Package car with several options. 1 3/4" bundle of snakes, anti-roll bars, Wilwood brakes (with integral p-brake), foam filled fuel tanks, dual fuel pumps and filters, eng. oil cooler, single vent front hatch, US DOT APPROVED KNOCK OFF's, chrome plated wishbone & suspension links, and Helicopter ball vents. It will be powered by a high revving, high compression, long rod 289 with 44IDF's.

It will also have a UN1 transaxle that is included with the kit.

Oh, and it will be right hand drive / right hand shift.

Hello All,

Its been a while since I've posted on this thread.

It was delivered as our "Deluxe Component Package", meaning everything less the engine and battery, and went from crate to plates in just over six months.

Started 2/9/08, finished (registered) just before Labor Day weekend.
