A Holley AVS...??

Yeah a Holley with Air Valve Secondary control, like the Carter AVS.
I did it,and it worked fairly well!
Made a seperate removable housing, with spring loaded air door, which is adjustible.
Took some High Speed Air Bleed tuning to get the fuel curve correct.
But it was awsome when the door kicked open in 2nd gear. Would blow the tires off!

That is pretty neat. I am sure you learned quite a bit about carburetion when you got it working. Do you have any more pictures of the carb?

I have a few more, mostly of the air door housing.
I designed it to fit on any Holley with the choke tower milled off.
I was working on a version to fit the HP series Holley.
Had an idea of making these for sale, but did not know if there would be
much demand for it.
Mostly for a Double Pump type carb, where the owner wants to try something
different. You would have to remove the secondary accelerator pump lever.
Takes only a couple minutes to change over, figureing you have to change
out the Secondary High Speed Air Bleeds,to a larger size,to correct the A/F
ratio.
This test was done on a much modified 750 Holley, with a larger 1.420 venturi,a 1 3/4 base plate and annular Carb Shop "Super Boosters".
How it would perform on a typical Dog leg type booster is unkown as of yet.
I put the idea on the shelf for a while.
