I will put in a good word for the Edelbrock or AFB, even though I spend 90% of my time fiddling with Holleys or evolutions thereof on the race stuff I work on. I have an old AFB that is 'NOT FOR SALE', it just seems to work as a 'first start' carb on damn near everything I build, sooooo, rather than having to dial in a 'new' carb at each fresh engine start I use that old girl, also if I get a client with a suspected carb problem I will chuck it on his motor to confirm/eliminate that possibility. I once loaned it to a mate to try on his car ( out of town ), took me 6 month's of pleading to get it back....
