Holley secondary vacuum canisters on dual quads
 
Still planning to spring for a set of correct, restoration, custom tuned carbs for my motor. Mickmate has suggested someone that he has had a lot of good experience with. The original carbs had a vacuum hose joining the secondary canisters together to equalize opening of the secondaries. Most Holleys don't have anything like this as I assume it's only usefulness is in dual quad and tri-power set ups. Is the vacuum port secondary cap a Holley option? Or is it a rare, original, scace as hen's teeth part with a hefty price tag?

You need this kit. It comes with a pair of the equalizing caps.

Your nearby auto parts store will have the proper 3/16" i.d. rubber vacuum hose to connect the pair.

Well, that was easier than I expected. About choked on the price until I saw that was for the pair.

So did I! Seems like $40ish would be a fair price, but these days a dollar doesn't stretch very far. :3DSMILE:

I made my own for my son's '67 GTO with 2 inline 4's (Holley).

I started by drilling a hole in the center of a couple of 'stock' caps.

I tapped the holes for a 90 degree brass fitting (1/8" (?) NPT).

The fittings were NPT on one end and compression on the other end.

Then I used a short length of copper tubing with compression fittings to connect the two together.

If you're worried about looks you can polish the brass and copper parts and it looks kind of 'retro' or "Rocket Man-ish".
