Two Hurricanes in Lake Havasu City
FYI.....
No big deal, but in a small town in the desert like Lake Havasu City, AZ. there are two Hurricane Cobras here. In total we have about 6 cobra repliacs and a large number of hot rods because to Havasu is a major retirement community. There are 4 or more car clubs and numerous boating and off road clubs too. I ran into the other Hurricane one day and the first thing I asked the driver was "Hey is this a Superformance?". He quickly corrected me, "it's a Hurricane", boy did I feel stupid and very happy at the same time. I think he said his car was #30 or 31, it's a silver grey with stripe and a small block ford in it. Hopefully we will be doing some crusing together in the future. Bill :D |
Good Stuff Bill
Good Stuff Bill,
Great to hear you have a new Hurricane Friend locally. There are 4 local to Dallas: Richard Parker's 1005, 1035, the jshel1 roadster (1038), and I believe the old factory car 1002 or 1003 is still local. I had 1038 out at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson for the Texas Shelby 350 this past weekend. It and the three CSX4000 cars out there got a lot of attention. Most of the field consisted of late model GT500s, so the cobras and 60's fastback stangs really stood out. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...0/DSC_0005.jpg |

Vinny,
Welcome to the HM Club. If I am not mistaken HM 1041 was one of Alfredo's builds. Are you located in Texas? I have HM 1015 and Gregg H has HM1037 both in Austin. Congrats. Ken W. PS. Be sure and join the other forum on Hurricane's main website. |
