Dusty, it's a pleasure to see that the new Hurricane is still offering the good customer support/communication that has always been one of Hurricane's hallmarks. It is very nice to know who one is dealing with when purchasing items such as these expensive toys, kudos to you for joining up and making the effort to keep "..the faithful" informed!

DAMN this "recession"...my retirement plans were to spend my time building, selling, and servicing Cobra/Daytona/GT40 replicas and Hurricane was my product of choice for the Cobras. Of course, with the economy tanking and already built replicas displaying such a price advantage over new kit construction, those plans are now history. It is disappointing to hear your company is producing so few per year. Here's hoping things get better so Hurricanes can maintain their product presence in the field, they are an incredibly well engineered and attractive product!!

Cheers, Dugly

I want a set of heavy duty (thick backed) mats in black with the Hurricane logo and name on the ends so it can be seen when looking into the cockpit. In addition, make a smooth pad for the gas pedal area so they won't show the wear form the throttle foot.
I'm ready to buy when you get them. Bill

Bill & Dusty
I've made two sets - both problematic
  • Set one was just a bound piece of carpet that fit the footwell. It slid all over the place
  • Set Two included a heavy rubber back with the typical floormat prongs on the back that stick down into the carpet. These slide around also, although not as bad.
I suspect it is going to take a grommet in the mat and a keeper like they are now using on drivers side of production vehicles. Just the flat mat, even with rubber back slides.

Mat Retention clips

These do a pretty good job of holding my mats in place. A little difficult to get set right the first time but work great after that.

Product: Mat-Loc™ Clips Retention System

And trust me, our car speeds up and stops in a hurry for some reason!!! lol Hopefully this is case for everyone who does get a set. Well everyone have a great day :)

I would love to be one of those customers. Just gotta get the money together. Seems every time I make progress, something happens that takes it all away.
