how many are running big blocks?

Dan, I have a SA 428 FE in my Hurricane and it is great fun. It tends to run a little hot in traffic, but cool on the road when there is plenty of air flow.
I just installed a full fan shrold on the puller fan and will be testing it soon to see if it helps. In addition, I have not had all the alum. ducting in place prior to completing the bodywork so that alone may help.

Another thing, here in Lake Havasu City, AZ. its 90 degrees at 6 AM and 120 on some days during the summer, so the poor snake doesn't have chance to get too cool.

482FE w/Fan shroud and big amp alternator to run it. No problem.
It is hot in So. MD in the summer months.
Airflow at stop lights seems to be a big factor.
