Chassis Dyno in E'ville
There is a new facility with a chassis dyno in Evansville.
4301 Vogel Rd. Between Automotive Wholesalers and the Police Dept. Near Eastland Mall Total Performance They took good care of me today and I found extra 25hp. Good people. I think 525 ft-lbs, to the rear wheels with no power adders and through the mufflers surprised them. One of you big guys (Wayne??) needs to go over and shock them! They are used to ricers. |

The dyno looks like it was a worth while visit for you with the extra 25 HP found. You should give Wayne a call, as he no doubt would be keen to see some figures. I cannot recall him saying that he had dynoed his Cobra. The road that runs between the Drury Motel and the Shell service station runs around to a small group of factories where I took a run one night and was surprised to see a few bikes and cars there being tuned and worked on. Is Vogel up near McDonald's and the Harley Davidson shop or am I in the wrong area. I know/think there is a performance shop there. I haven't spoken with him for a while as he has been busy extending his home there. Told me he was adding on a room for my next visit. :3DSMILE: Think he is also adding on an extra two car facility also. :LOL: If you run past let me know his progress and I will call and tell him he is behind. We have had the most amazing summer weather again. I guess winter is our payback. I doubt we have had a half dozen days over 90 degrees this summer. We only got rain when we needed it.
Good thing it isn't like this all the time, everyone would want to live here. Seems like fall is worse cobra weather than winter. More likely to drizzle all day. Today it was low 40's this morning. But this afternoon it will be around 60. Top up, top down, top up.... . When winter finally hits, I throw on the hard top and simply adjust the heater. I'm using these odd weather days to "restore" the old cobra. After 4 years of beating her mercilessly, she has performed this summer like I always thought she should. She has ran good times on the roadcourses and nailed the 10's in the 1/4 and 6's in the 1/8th. All the while a gentle lady on the street. But it is starting to look its age. So back out to the garage for some more sanding. I keep checking in to see how Brent is doing with those new tires. My hopes are up. Later Bob |

Bob A bit similiar over here at this time weather wise. I have just travelled to the Australian Nationals in mid New South Wales and it was rain sunshine and rain all the time up there. We had a few more cars there but the rain made Saturday driving really rough. Some big spins offs on the track. Have recently spoken with Wayne and he did not take his Cobra to the Run N Gun this year as he is re building at home. I was going to head over but thought he was going to give the Run N Gun as miss due to the renovations. Heard Scott Richey did not go either. Wayne's brother Rob was away also. So the Evansville gang ( the four )were not to be seen this year, so I would have been on my own..:eek: Take care. Dyno Day
Just curious if the Cobra guys are up for a dyno day? We are having a Dyno Day for the mustangs on Feb 12 you are more than welcome to come out ir if you would rather have just for Cobras that cool too just let me know.

Just to let you all know that we might have some more big cars coming and we are woring a deal right now to try and have Kenny Brown bring down some cars and also bring do a buch of product to sell at special sale prices that weekend only

I need to drop by sometime and spin the roller to check some new valve springs. But I won't be there on the 12th. Good luck. Aside..I hear you had a drag car max out the dyno with nitrous! What did the police station next door think of that?! What is the most power that has been put down though mufflers (street car)without power adders? I know of a couple 9 sec n.a. street cars in town. That would have to be over 800hp at the wheels. Later Bob |

At nearly 30,000 now. Been over to Adelaide South Australia and along the Great Ocean Road also. :eek: Have managed to squeeze a few hours in at work also...**) All on track for the DVSF and will also do the SAAC event at California in early July. %/ may get to have a beer wtcobra - Wayne at Evansville - has a son and nephew heading out here in late May for a break so will catch up on all the news from over there. They are spending a few weeks with my wife and I and we will show them around - **) Bernie |
