The Bare Semko Invitational

Hi Guys,
Mike Bare and I have decided to cancel The Bare Semko Invitational so it doesn't conflict with the cobra gathering in London. Despite the controversy on Club Cobra between The Spring Fling and The London Gathering, the City of London is a much better venue, closer in proximity and is being well organized by some nice cobraphiles. We hope to see you at the London gathering in June,

with regards,
Dan Semko

Dan, are you also going to return the entry fees already sent to you for your now cancelled event ? i await my check, or, is it in the mail ? bill

Dan Semko 02-16-2005 07:20 AM

Listen fella,
You wouldn't believe the number of hours we've spent in meetings, talking with vendors, sponsors and others. I wish I could share all of the great ideas and raffle items but you'll have to wait . You won't be disappointed....wait a minute, we cancelled, never mind.

We donated your entry fees to the Road Serpents Fund for Higher Education through Excessive Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and Moral Decay. After intensive research into the problems of this next generation, our highly qualified board identified the lack of exposure to these issues as being the prime cause for the current lopsided youth development. We thank you for your support and were surprised that the postal authorities didn't question all of that loose change in your mailing envelope. We appreciate you spending $1.87 in postage to send 57 cents in pennies. Since Mike is associated with a local law enforcement agency, the complaint form by that annoying Salvation Army bell ringer, has been approrpiately misplaced and they'll never be able to identify you.

Thanks Again for your support.

Dan, I never actually sent in a check but I did have good intentions of going...what do I get? :D

Dan Semko 02-16-2005 08:53 AM

Send Cash!

We'll be sure to reward you appropriately.:D :3DSMILE:

Bill Wells 02-16-2005 09:07 AM

Dan. I sent my money in Canadian Dollars, sourced from the local Windsor Ballet across the river from Motown USA. Hopefully you properly discounted my donation when you sent it to the Road Serpents AA fund ? oxooxx, Yours in America. Bill.

I can not begin to tell you the mental image that ran through my mind as I read the thread topic: "bare" Semko! Scared for life!

Rick, You do realize that MikieC is Greek, right?

Bill,
Thank you for bringing the Canadian Currency error to my attention. Due to the current exchange rate, you now owe me a quarter.;)

I want to cover every event - how far apart

Dan

Sorry

One last question..

How far are the two events away from each other in time and miles...

I'm heading to the DVSF with Hershal Byrd following his GT40 and and I'm driving his Cobra...**)

Now, I guess I'll have to ring him to find out what event we are heading to..**)....or if he plans to try and make both.

Now, I want to go to both...%/

Cheers

Bernie

I regret to announce, this year Road Serpents will not be participating at the Semko Invitational. We have the traier loaded up ready to go, but the tow vehicle is repo'ed!!

Can't push the trailer 2500 miles.
We'll have to schedule for next year.. We hate to dissapoint the attendees who were looking to look at the unveiling of our new 102" wheel base stretch COOBRAA.

We are still not accepting donations, but will look at your deposits as if they were one and the same.

See you at Carlisle.

I was thinking of pummeling you at the Semko event. Do you have a tour schedule posted so I can meet up with your sales rep??

Thought the 'well worn' weathered rust look would suit the kit builders...
