G'day all from the land down under
Wondering if I might be able to ask a favour of you kind folks of Indiana.
I'm looking at a low mileage S/H Tremec TKO 500 for sale in Carmel but am wary of the old buy unsighted trap. :confused: Wondering whether I could persuade a kindly soul to have a look see at the transmission and a chat to the seller to see it seems on the level and a worthwhile purchase. I'd need to get contact details from the seller and will chase these now just in case. My cobra is in rebuild mode and a lot of the gear I've used was not checked because of the relatively short build time I had to meet. My T5 gearbox is actually a throw away and I may as well upgrade if I'm going to buy from your side of the pond. So I'm hoping someone can help. I look forward to any replys. If it had been a tad earlier, I could have had Mr Mac-Bernie check it out for me in his travels. Not to be though. Can anyone out there help? I have a time constraint as it's through evilbay, but provided it is on the level, it might a good opportunity. Cheers Steve |
Don't bother about the contact folks.
The nuff nuff selling has confirmed the transmission isn't a TKO 500 but an earlier 3650. Am not after one of those, so thanks for the comment and thanks for those that looked at least. Cheers from downunder Steve |
Steve, I sell Tremec TKO 500/600 transmissions as well as Astro Performance/GForce gear set upgrades for the T5. The Astro gearsets for the T5 will handle 600hp/550lb-ft of torque with the 9310 mainshaft, 450lb-ft with the stock mainshaft. The Astro pieces have been building quite a reputation for being stout.
