How many JBLs in existence? Any for sale?

My 6'5" father doesn't like the idea of me having the only cool car in the family. He had his heart set on a Beck Lister, but I think the chassis photographs and CAD engineers drawings of the JBL now have him pretty excited about the idea of a race-spec Cobra.

The stage 2 chassis spec looks like the right balance between cost and features for what we would require.

My questions are whether there were any complete JBLs currently for sale?
Would a 6'5" driver fit in the JBL?
Could you supply beaming and torsional test results to satisfy our local authorities?
Do your doors have side intrusion bars fitted?

Thanks!

Craig

(And Richard - you'll be happy to know that he's only thinking of a mild 400hp small block. I just can't get him interested in a 410 cube Outlaw Sprint Car motor....%/ :3DSMILE: )

Hi Craig,

JBL happens to have a complete car that they will sell. This a new car, but with the old front uprights and rockers. (It is a duplicate of Chuck Millers car.) If you would would like I can send to the specifications by email.

6'5" will fit. It may be a bit tight depending on Hpoint to toe dimensions of your papa.

Beaming and torsional numbers are availible.

The Doors have a side beam from the hinge point to the bearclaw latch. (As to this being any good for side intrusion, I doubt it unless you are hit by something that is no higher than your knee.)

Richard - thanks for the reply. A factory built car.... sounds interesting, but at our expected initial outlay of more like the stage 2 build, it's likely WAY out fo our league.

I would appreciate knowing more about this car. Is it a roller, or a complete turn-key? Any photos of the old rockers? New ones able to be retro-fitted?

Thank you,

Craig
