Thanks 40K

KC,
Thanks for your reply to my question. Those numbers you've achieved are truly astounding for FE power, especially for the price.
As I suspected, the "reliability factor" you attain by a quality build is not inferior to Kroyers. Just significantly less expensive.
More [and longer] bang-for-the-buck.
And yes, I know any of these power levels are ridiculous in Cobras, unless the're built for single-purpose.
Thanks,

ERA Chas: If you're interested in an FE there are a number of good engine builders that advertise here (I am very happy with my 427SO from SA), but if you're interested in a high HP FE, I would say Keith is your man. He does head work that is second to none.
On your last thread that was closed, the engine I spoke of was a KC engine. And, contrary to what was said, I explained that it WASN'T CLOSE to 30K. In fact, it's much closer to 20K than 30K and the parts used were TOP NOTCH. They aren't GOLD plated but hey, you get what you pay for I guess.
THAT'S what my concern was on the 40K engine. People can spend whatever they want on an engine build, but did this guy GET WHAT HE PAID FOR, or was he taken advantage of and the price over inflated?
Chas: good luck with whatever you choose.
Happy Holidays.

Terry,
You've hit my point exactly on both threads. I had no intent to create a pi$$ing contest.
I'm very comfortable with my 550HP but I'm doing it with a 39 year old crank and bottom end.
KC or Phil Molski would certainly be at top of my list for quality HP.
Good Hoildays to you as well.
